Responsibilities of the Candidate:

1. Utilize the bank-defined best practices, standards and tools in application delivery, documentation and support
2. Act as the quality gate from AD to AM where relevant
3. Take ownership of the technical solutions to incidents and problems
4. React quickly and as necessary to live software errors to limit downtime and resolve the issue from L2 support perspective
5. Ensure the delivery of solutions in line with the Operational Level Agreements to deadlines and quality standards, provide regular updates to key stakeholders and all levels
6. Support the handover of new or enhanced software into business-as-usual (BAU) operation, absorb and assimilate the information and provide junior resources information and education related to the system technology and function
7. Identify proactive remedial strategies to prevent future software problems

Requirements:

1. Strong experience in IT Software Support
2. Knowledge in Enterprise Application Integration using WebSphere business integration technology, especially middleware tools like IBM Integration Bus IIB 10, IBM WebSphere Message Broker, IBM WebSphere Message Queue (MQ)
3. Good knowledge of Unix/ Linux 
4. Experience in writing queries in SQL language (for running on Oracle, MS SQL or other DBMS) (essential)
5. Knowledge of open shift technology from the development perspective
6. Able to investigate and debug production issues from the technical perspective
7. Shell scripting will be an added advantage
8. Functional knowledge of Digital banking will be added advantage
9. Knowledge of OpenShift Container Platform will be an added advantage

3. Experience with Web Services(JSON, REST, JAX-RS, Spring based REST services)

4. Experience building REST and SOAP web services using Micro Services

5. Strong Core Java development exp

6. Experience with development tools like Eclipse, Git, Jenkins, Jira,.etc

7. Experience with TDD, code testability standards, JUnit/Mockito

8. Strong understanding of OOP & SOA principles, design patterns, industry best practices

9. Agile project experience a plus

10. Experience with scripting and working in a Linux environment
